Baxterley Village

Baxterley and the surrounding area are increasingly popular with cyclists, walkers and horse-riders as this most beautiful corner of North Warwickshire finally gets the recognition it deserves.

The Abbey was built at nearby Merivale in 1148 as the ‘‘mountainous and woody dessert of Miravale’’ was thought to be suitable for a life of contemplation.

The area is rich in natural wildlife and on a clear day four different counties can be seen from the hillside view at the top of Folly Lane.
